Will "concept search" finally reach its breakthrough?
No. Concept search blurs the searching process to the users.
However, a system which automatically performs so-called "phrase
searches" while explaining directly to users how it has interpreted
their search criteria and how they might refine the search, will
aid precision and effectivity - which is what users are looking for.
Will "visual search and browsing" be the answer to my
problems?
No. Visual concept searching is an immature technology "in the
scientific stage" that is not likely to reach maturity until
fundamental problems in information visualization and presentation
of large amounts of information on small screens, are solved.
What about the "clustering" of my search results?
Clustering is a "machine argued" organization of your data, which is often
hard to interpret with the human eye. And when you have, how will the
system provide feedback in order to keep you "in charge" of your current
search query?
